This young patient wants to improve her smile, but she doesn’t want to undergo invasive and painful operations. She shows agenesis of 1.2 and 2.2. In their place we find the permanent canines. On the right there is still the milk canine which on the left is missing.

The central incisors appear very small compared to the canines, the right canine is rotated, the gingival contours are not harmonious.

The treatment plan involves a BAIR procedure on the 4 frontal elements and the insertion of an implant in the position of the left canine. At the moment the patient does not want treatment on the right milk canine.

Due to the excessive volume of the canines, a slight reduction of their vestibular and mesial portion was necessary. The central incisors were then enlarged and, at the same time, the gingival parables were realigned.

Immediately afterwards, the canines were transformed into lateral incisors and in a single appointment the patient has obtained the desired result, and is waiting for the completion of the implant-prosthetic phase.

The before and after of a BAIR procedure carried out in less than 2 hours.

The superimposition of the images shows the extent of the increase in volume of the central incisors to obtain a more harmonious proportion with the canines, transformed into lateral incisors. Later follow-ups testify to the perfect integration of BAIR restorations with the gingival tissues.
