This young patient is at the end of orthodontic treatment. The main defects of alignment have been corrected, but with only orthodontics it was not possible to solve the problem of dento-maxillary disharmony, i.e. teeth too small in relation to the development of the bones.

To improve the aesthetic appearance it is necessary to address several issues:

  • closure of the diastema, ie the black spaces between the teeth
  • aesthetic correction of the inclination of the root of left lateral incisor towards the palate
  • re-balancing of the size of the teeth
  • re-balancing of the gingival parables which are particularly uneven here

The patient’s young age does not allow invasive procedures. However improving the smile is very important for a social life which is, otherwise, lived with discomfort. Especially in the adolescent age a satisfying smile is a fundamental aid in acquiring greater self-esteem and self-confidence.

In a single appointment, the application of the BAIR Technique made it possible to solve most of the problems. The teeth appear straighter, we have pink papillae instead of the unsightly black spaces and the gingival levels are also more harmonious.

BAIR is an additive technique. Nothing is removed but only added and this means that it is a completely reversible procedure. In summary, it is possible to return to the previous situation without precluding any other therapeutic plan.
